Our tapas (small plates) are exclusively designed to be shared; featuring creative dishes packed with unique flavor combinations, fresh ingredients and pair perfectly with our carefully selected wine and beer list.  Tapas-style service ensures a leisurely pace of dining to maximize the enjoyment of your night out.  There is something for everyone and regular chef specials ensure there is always something new to try!

Monica Cote

EXECUTIVE CHEF

A native of Ireland, Chef Monica began her culinary journey at the North West Institute of Further & Higher Education. After graduation, she went on to work under Frederick Souty, her mentor, at Kees Hotel in Donegal.  She traveled and worked in various culinary roles in Dublin, Kilkenny and Killarney until she decided to venture across the pond in 2001, where she settled in Montauk, as salad and pastry chef at Dave’s Grill.  

She later moved to New Hampshire where she opened Bistro 45 in Haverhill and served as the Executive Chef of the Peddler’s Daughter and the Irish Cottage. She helped open Luna Bistro as our original Sous Chef and was later promoted to Executive Chef. Monica has been featured in TV Diner, DISH News 7 and North Shore Magazine.


Kori Doherty

OWNER

Kori brings an entrepreneurial drive and extensive financial background to Luna Bistro.  She has spent the last decade building a successful private equity portfolio, including a real estate management business, and founded and operated a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, raising funds for medical research and granting scholarships for students seeking advanced studies in the field of cardiology.  Prior to branching off on her own, Kori spent 10 years as Vice President in the Tech Group at an industry-leading, global, capital markets-focused consulting firm based out of Connecticut, serving as a strategic advisor to CEOs and CFOs of public and private technology firms.

Kori also spent years in sell-side equity research covering the software sector and in various corporate finance roles at a bomb detection company, where she started immediately following 9/11.  She began her career as a stockbroker, becoming the youngest registered representative in the company’s history while still a full-time student at Boston College, where she majored in Finance with double minors in
Business Law and Spanish.
